My style of coaching

My coaching style is warm and supportive, yet stretching and provocative where needed. I help you to gain self-insight through powerful questions and exercises, but insights alone do not lead to change. So I will also challenge and champion you to action.

Every coaching journey we start with designing our alliance: what can we expect from one and other? We get to know each other and explore your dreams, goals and desired outcomes. We dive deeper into finding out what is in the way, what obstacles are holding you back. We discover your values, what drives you as a person. Along the way your self-awareness, confidence and personal leadership to take ownership of your life the way you want it to be. Depending on the goals and where you are in your journey we agree on a coaching package.

Where possible we will use the tranquility, beautiful views and inspiration from nature.

Coaching in nature

Numerous studies show that time in nature or scenes of nature are associated with a positive mood, and psychological wellbeing, meaningfulness, and vitality. Time in nature or viewing nature increases our ability to pay attention. It is my strong belief that by being in nature we are better able to connect with our inner selves again and let go of our own limiting beliefs. And nature has a gift for us, there are numerous metaphors about life widely available for us to help us gain insight in a more playful and natural way.

Co-Active Coaching

I have completed the Co-Active Professional Coach Certification program, widely recognized as the most rigorous professional coach training and certification program in the industry and accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
The term co-active refers to the fundamental nature of a coaching relationship in which the coach and client are active collaborators.
The term itself brings together the essential human qualities of being and doing:

  • Who we are
  • Who we are in relationship
  • Who we are being and want to be
  • How we are actively creating
  • What we are doing – or in some cases not doing – to achieve the results we want in life and work

Co-Active Coaching is based on four cornerstones or fundamental beliefs.

It starts with the belief that everyone is in principle naturally creative, resourceful and whole. People are capable of finding answers, capable of choosing, capable of taking action, capable of recovering when things don’t go as planned, and, especially, capable of learning.

The second belief is to have the focus on the whole person: heart, mind, body and spirit and not just for problems to be solved. A decision in one area of life inevitably ripples through all areas of life.

The third belief is to dance in this moment. A conversation is a powerful and dynamic interchange between people. For me as coach it is an exercise in listening intently at many levels, and of course, choosing when and how to respond.

Lastly the belief to evoke transformation. Clients may have their attention only on the specific goal for that specific topic. As a coach in this model I hold a vision that sees the topic as an expression of something even more valuable to the client. There is a yearning for the very best, the full potential that the client can experience.

Organizational Relationship System Coaching

I am also trained as a Systems Coach. For this I have completed the Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) program, the first ICF accredited systems inspired team and relationship coach training.

ORSC is an integrated and robust coaching model based on Relationship Systems Intelligence™. Beyond Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself) and Social Intelligence (relationship with others) is the realm of Relationship Systems Intelligence where one’s focus shifts to the relationship with the group, team or system.

This shift in focus enables Leaders, teams and organizations to move beyond personal concerns and conflicts to a positive and generative group identity. The strength of a team’s identity provides resilience and the resources necessary to navigate the constantly changing challenges organizations face.
